Exercises for Pain Relief:
I created this video for you because many women in my boot camp ask me for exercises to help with lower body pain. Many people, as they get older, (and if they want to stay athletic), at one time or another develop pain in the lower body.
I didn’t invent these exercises… I discovered them when I was looking for a solution to my own “chronic pain.” At that time, I came across a book called Pain Free by Pete Egoscue. I don’t like to take any drugs, so I was determined to find a drug-free alternative to relieving pain. Besides, all the drugs do is “cover up” the pain, and I was looking to fix it.
I’m super active, so I suffer from pain throughout my lower body as well. But when I learned these very simple techniques I was able to solve my aches and pains. In fact, I was able to run my first marathon at 49! Don’t get me wrong, I hurt afterward that marathon for a week, but I was able to get back on track faster because I did these exercises every night, while watching TV or reading.
I am a huge believer in doing these passive exercises to relieve my pain because I am an injured runner! I have been battling with Achilles Tendonitis for a many years, sometimes it’s worse, sometimes it’s better. It really depends on my activity level.
But one thing that is constant is that if I do my passive exercises for pain relief, everything is looser, my hips, hamstrings, calves, and Achilles. Remember that pain anywhere in the lower body comes like a chain from the back to the heels.
If you have any pain in the lower body, please start using these exercises. They are simple and easy. But don’t let that fool you. They are truly powerful.
