What are the Foods That Make You Fat?

First, it’s important to know that just because the label says, “fat free” or “natural” does not mean it’s good for you. You have to read the labels. For example, a label is allowed to say “no trans fat” if it has less than a certain percentage of trans fat! That’s not fair, I know, and it’s tricky for the consumer. So you have to become a “label hound” and read all labels. If you have something you are not sure of, Google it, and learn about it. You need to know what you are putting in your body.

This is a list that you need to Commit to your Memory

  • High Fructose Corn Syrup
  • MSG (Monosodium Glutamate)
  • Artificial Sweeteners
  • Trans Fat/Hydrogenated Fat
  • Saturated Fat

How to spot the foods that make you fat…

Again, I can’t stress enough that the way to learn about these ingredients, is to start reading ingredient and nutrition labels on the foods you buy. These fat-storing ingredients will be in prepared and packaged foods. All prepared and packaged foods in the US have a nutrition and ingredient label.

So start getting used to looking for these ingredients. If you see one or more of these ingredients on the label, don’t buy it or don’t eat it.

What to eat instead

You are most likely going to find most of the food you usually eat contains one or more of these fat-storing ingredients!

So you are probably now thinking you have nothing to eat!

This is not true. Here’s why… the natural health movement is growing and there is no end in sight. More and more packaged items are being made that do not have these foods that make you fat.

Here are some examples of brands that do not have these nasty fat-storing ingredients. You can look them up on Google or look for them in your supermarket. They are new brands that focus on producing food products without harmful toxic ingredients.  If you can’t find these at your local stores, don’t fret, just go to Amazon and order.  I order a lot of things from Amazon, and have never been disappointed.

Another thing to know is that there is a way to shop and eat to avoid these ingredients.

Here are some of the key ways to do this

When you shop try and make everything you buy have ONE ingredient.  It’s easy to remember, chicken (one ingredient), apples (one ingredient), brown rice (one ingredient).

This will mean you get fresh vegetables, meats, fruits, nuts, legumes, grains, oils, spices, seasonings, etc. This is the simplest way of clean shopping or what is called clean eating. Combining these ingredients when cooking will give you delicious, colorful and clean meals that allow you to lose weight faster and easier!
