They are a great way to add some of the healthiest foods into your diet, like whey protein, flaxseed meal, fruits, green tea and even veggies! Yes, I said veggies.

Oatmeal Protein Breakfast Smoothie
This video below is for my favorite Oatmeal Protein Breakfast Smoothie. When you’re rushed in the morning, it’s a great way to get everything you need for breakfast… in a smoothie! Try it, and you’ll find that it keeps you satisfied for hours. And the best part is that you can make it and take on the go as you’re rushing out in the morning.
Oatmeal Protein Breakfast Smoothie:
1 – cup water
1/2 – frozen banana
1/2 – cup frozen berries
1 – tablespoon of flaxseed meal
1 – scoop protein powder
1/2 – cup oatmeal (whole oats)
stevia to taste
large handful kale
ice (use optional)
Add all ingredients in blender or VitaMix and enjoy!
Protein Shake Recipes – Shakes & Smoothies Using Superfoods
Here are some more protein smoothies that you can try, they are all delish!
Protein Smoothie with Flax Seed
1 cup water or almond milk
1 small frozen banana
1 spoon chocolate protein powder
1 heaping tablespoon of flaxseed meal
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend all together well and enjoy!
Green Tea Protein Shake
1 large cup of green tea steeped from two bags
1 scoop of whey protein powder
2/3 cup of unsweetened applesauce
1 tablespoon of ground flaxseed meal
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend together thoroughly.
Raspberry Green Tea Smoothie
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
½ cup almond milk or low-fat milk
½ cup freshly brewed green tea
1 scoop of vanilla whey protein powder
Add all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
Melon and Cucumber Smoothie
1 cup water
½ cup cubed cantaloupe
½ cup cucumber
1 scoop whey protein powder
1 teaspoon honey
1 tablespoon flaxseed meal
Blend all ingredient well in a blender and enjoy.
When you really don’t have to time to eat and drink your coffee at the same time, whip up this delish “power shake” that will give you energy and fuel at the same time!!
Mocha Protein Shake
½ cup of soy or almond milk
½ cup of brewed coffee
½ tablespoon of peanut butter
1 scoop of chocolate whey protein powder
Place all ingredients in a blender and process until smooth. You will love this boost in the morning!
