:  Easy Chocolate Almond Milk: Here is a great recipe for Chocolate Almond Milk that your Kids are going to love. It’s so simple, you just start with your base almond milk recipe.

You just take Raw Organic Cacao Powder (organic preferably). It’s just one tablespoon added to your base of plain almond milk and then a teaspoon or two of honey and voila… delish chocolate almond milk.

It’s also great in your smoothies too, because you get the superfood cacao powder, which is high in magnesium and totally helps with chocolate cravings, which I get a LOT. Cacao is the richest source of magnesium in any common food! Magnesium balances your brain chemistry, helps with your moods (think PMS), keeps your bones strong and keeps your heart healthy.

And another HUGE bonus… cacao has more antioxidant flavonoids than any food tested so far, including blueberries, red wine, and black and green teas. In fact, it has up to four times the quantity of antioxidants found in green tea! Chocolate lovers unite!

Here’s the simple recipe!


First, this is the basic almond milk recipe:

Soak 1 cup of raw almonds in water for 4 to 8 hours – be sure to cover the almonds with water.

After you are done soaking, drain, the almonds and put them in a blender or Vitamix with four cups of water and process for about a minute. You will see a nice white milk develop.

Strain the almond milk through a small strainer, coffee filter or cheesecloth to separate the solids. You can throw away the solids or save to use in other recipes.

Then add a teaspoon of vanilla to the milk and voila!… you have just made your own fresh almond milk.

Now make it chocolate by adding:

1 tablespoon of raw cacao powder

1 to 2 teaspoons of honey (depending on how sweet you like it)

Whirl that around in your blender or Vitamix, and you have instant chocolate milk.
