Okay, so you know you need to do your cardio to keep your heart healthy and to burn calories and torch some fat, right? Maybe you’re not a runner, you hate the treadmill, or you cannot take another 20 minutes on the elliptical listening to the person next to you talk on the phone.

There is an option…. try DANCING to burn fat!

The Latin Dance Workout that is Sweeping The Planet
Unless you have been living on a deserted island, then no doubt you have heard something, somewhere, or from one of your girlfriends about Zumba — a super fun, Latin-fusion dance workout that is high energy, toe-tapping, butt-shaking, cannot-sit-still-for-a- second, dancing fun.

But it’s not just dancing, it’s a legit WORKOUT! You will sweat, burn calories, feel sexy, amazing and have a ton of fun. You will be dancing to a mix of Latin and international music with steps choreographed to the music that makes you feel like you are a candidate for “Dancing With the Stars.”

Classes are lead by teachers that are trained in this Latin-fusion dance workout. The teacher breaks down the moves so that you can actually learn how to salsa, meringue, cha-cha, shimmy, swivel your hips, work your core and shake your body. And you will learn how to coordinate it all so you look GOOD!

When you go to a Zumba class, you need to go with a totally open mind that you are going to have a great time, and you are not going to be inhibited. There will be the “pros” in the front row, but heck everyone had to start in the back at some point in time. But after a few classes, you will learn the moves and soon be keeping up with the best of them. I hear from woman all the time who have taken their first class and can’t wait to go again. I have also seen many women who have lost a lot of pounds and inches of flab just by dancing it off.

All You Need is a Great Attitude
You do not need to have any dance experience. All you need is a smiling face and the desire to have some fun. It is a great cardio workout, and the more you do it, the better you will get. The bonus is that the better you get, the more calories you will burn because after a while you will stop concentrating so much on the steps, and just fall into a groove. Then, all of a sudden, you have been dancing for an hour and you have no idea where the hour went. I guarantee you, there are not a lot of workouts you can do where you are literally smiling the entire hour, but in Zumba you will be grinning from ear to ear.
